About Us
The Friends of the Santee Library have run the Friendly used Bookstore in Santee located at 9225 Carlton Hills Blvd for many decades. The items offered are books, jigsaw puzzles, basket for special occasions, greeting cards, bookmarks etc. The items are all donated by caring supporters of our local Library. The entire staff at the bookstore are volunteers who provide excellent service to our customers. The proceeds from sales provide needed support for many programs at the Santee Library. Also, furniture and other needed other supplies are funded by the proceeds. We also fund accounts to support the building of a new Library in Santee. After over 110 years in rented facilities a permanent building is needed. The Friends of the Santee Library welcome all to join us in our efforts. Donations are appreciated: books, jigsaw puzzles, homemade cards. Twice a year we host a Craft Sale usually Spring and December.
