Hey Santee!
Last Wednesday, the Chamber suited up (in business casual, of course!) for our October Business After 5 Mixer, hosted by Village Pet and Feed!
As always, our evening was filled with delicious food from Amy’s Hilltop Deli, great conversations with local businesses, and a fun raffle. But what stood out to me most was the opportunity to celebrate our wonderful host, Village Pet and Feed.
Although the store is only a year old, owners Devon and Tawney Julian have been a part of the Santee community for years. Having grown up in Santee, opening Village Pet and Feed was their way of giving back to the community that helped shape them. It was beautiful to see that sense of community come full circle—one generation giving back to the place that raised them, while their neighbors come together to support them.
It's a simple thought, but this event was a reminder that when you take care of your community, your community takes care of you.
