Santee Chamber Weekly Update 10APR25

Hello Santee!

These past few weeks seemed to be showing a surge in membership at the Chamber and I can assure you, new(ish) staff member Andie Reyes is most definitely at the lead of that charge! However, sometimes businesses and organizations go through seasons, and we see them cycle back to the chamber after needing some time to prioritize other goals. I am very happy to welcome back SMOAC to our Chamber as recently rejoined members. Many in the community know the work John Hossick puts into the Santee Mobile Home Owners Action Committee and for those of you who don’t, take note. He is a passionate advocate for residents of all ages in Santee, working tirelessly to support and protect the interests of local mobilehome communities. Beyond that, John is deeply involved in grassroots efforts that uplift both youth and seniors throughout the city. One of his most impactful initiatives is the annual Buddy’s Backpacks program, which provides free backpacks and school supplies to K-12 students in need. Keep an eye out for this generous giveaway happening again this August—just one of the many ways John continues to serve as a dedicated and compassionate force in our community.
