Hello Santee!
Last week I had the distinct honor of being named Person of the Year in District 4; an annual tradition Councilmember Dustin Trotter has been bestowing upon an individual who resides within his district. Dustin and I have been crossing paths for at least the past decade, and not just because we are “neighbors” in the same district. He has been an active chamber member (where I’ve spent the past 11 years employed), he has worked on several projects at Guardian Angels Church (where I have attended my whole life and volunteered since I was a child), he spearheaded the Veterans Memorial project many know and love on Mast Boulevard (which he came to me to partner with the chamber for fundraising efforts)… and plenty of more crossover in projects around town that have been a work of heart. I am so thankful to live in a city that has so many opportunities for collaboration and volunteerism. I am just as thankful for leaders who appreciate and recognize efforts of those who care to continue making this the best place to work and live.
