Santee Chamber Weekly Update 28SEPT23

Hello Santee!
As autumn enters the air (briefly in the mornings if you are lucky to catch it), I am thankful for the turning of seasons and the excitement that comes along with holidays approaching. For our household, it also means competitive sports and light traveling. As we embrace this busier-than-usual time of year, it means we need to be proactive in our health. Some of this means getting the kids’ orthodontist appointments scheduled around other commitments, prepping meals in advance or menu planning for the week, or even making time for those daily workouts I seem to have forgotten the past few weeks. The Chamber is a constant resource for me when finding new ways to expand on health and balance practices for my family. I recently took my daughter to new member, Bodywork 4 Health, after meeting the dynamic mother and son duo who own the holistic center on Cuyamaca. Their $20 ten-minute stretch deal was too hard to pass up. We were welcomed by their friendly staff and guided into an open space where my 13-year-old was talked “to” and not “at” about the kinesiology of her own body. She left feeling more open and ready for her next cheer practice and knowing a little bit more about herself than before she walked in. I highly recommend going in and seeing how ten minutes can help you or your family.
